SpinGalaxy blackjack at a glance

SpinGalaxy blackjack covers ten tables: eight RNG games from Games Global, mostly built by Switch Studios, and two live dealer tables, ONE Blackjack from Pragmatic Play Live and Live Exclusive Blackjack 2 from OnAir. Everything starts from a NZ$10 deposit and plays in the phone browser.

That line-up is small next to the 550+ games in the full lobby, but it is well chosen: a straight classic for learning, a European version, two multi-hand tables, three Premier tables built around side bets and a pair of live rooms. Every title here is named on Spin Galaxy's own blackjack page or promo art.

All of it runs on the same account and the same NZ$ balance as the pokies. There is no separate table wallet to top up, and the cashier minimum is NZ$10 whether you pay by card, Apple Pay, paysafecard, a wallet or a Swift transfer.

The studios behind the blackjack tables

Three studio names cover every blackjack title we could confirm in the Spin Galaxy lobby. Tap a tile to open the casino and search the lobby by studio.

Games Global supplies the bulk of the RNG blackjack. Most of it carries the Switch Studios badge: Switch Classic Blackjack, Switch European Blackjack, the two Switch Multi Hand tables and the Premier Blackjack range. Its tables share one clean layout, so once you know one, the buttons on the others sit in the same places. Classic Blackjack Gold Series is the older, much-loved Gold Series title from the same catalogue, with a traditional green felt look.

Live blackjack comes from two directions. Pragmatic Play Live streams ONE Blackjack from its own studio, where a single dealer plays one shared hand for an unlimited number of players. OnAir Entertainment, the live studio distributed through Games Global, runs Live Exclusive Blackjack 2, a classic seated table with a dealer at a full-size layout. The brand's about page also names Ezugi, and Hacksaw Gaming and Blueprint Gaming feature in the pokies, but the blackjack we could confirm comes from the three studios above.

Blackjack on mobile

There is no Spin Galaxy app to download, and for blackjack you do not need one. The casino runs in the phone browser on iOS and Android, and the brand's own blackjack page is clear that its tables, live ones included, play in mobile format without any loss of quality. Log in from Safari or Chrome, search “blackjack” in the lobby and the table opens in the same tab.

RNG tables in portrait

The Switch Studios tables were built mobile-first, so the felt, your chips and the Hit, Stand, Double and Split buttons all fit a portrait screen. Multi-hand tables are easiest in landscape, where every box stays readable.

Live dealers on 4G or Wi-Fi

ONE Blackjack and Live Exclusive Blackjack 2 stream video, so a steady connection matters more than the phone. On a patchy signal, most live tables let you lower the video quality in their settings, and the game carries on as normal.

Pin it to the home screen

In Safari tap Share and then Add to Home Screen; in Chrome open the menu and pick Add to Home screen or Install app. You get a one-tap icon that opens the casino, which is a browser shortcut rather than an app.

Cashier on the same screen

Apple Pay, cards, paysafecard, Skrill, NETELLER, EcoCard and Swift all work from the phone, with NZ$10 as the minimum. Topping up between hands takes a few taps and you land back at the table.

Blackjack RTP

RTP and volatility at the blackjack tables

Blackjack is the table game where your own decisions move the maths the most. Played with basic strategy, the main bet on a standard game typically returns somewhere around 99.5% over the long run, which is why blackjack is usually the best-value table in any lobby. Play by gut feel and that figure drops, sometimes by a percentage point or more.

  • 99%+Typical main-bet RTP with basic strategy
  • LowTypical volatility of the main bet
  • 2,000xTop ONE Blackjack win, per Pragmatic Play
  • 6 cardsSix Card Charlie in ONE Blackjack

Rules shift the number. Fewer decks, a dealer who stands on soft 17, doubling after a split and a 3:2 payout on a natural all help the player; a 6:5 payout or tight doubling rules hurt. Each table's help screen lists its own rules, and it is worth a minute before your first bet, especially when you switch between the European, Atlantic City and classic versions.

Volatility on the main bet is low: most hands win or lose one stake, with doubles and splits the main way a single round swings harder. Side bets change that picture. Lucky Lucky, Buster Blackjack, 21+3 and Perfect Pairs pay big multiples on rare outcomes, so they are higher volatility and, typically, lower RTP than the main bet. Treat them as a small extra rather than the core of a session.

On published figures: we could not find a per-title RTP for these tables on the public game pages of Pragmatic Play, Games Global or OnAir. Rather than borrow numbers from third-party sites, we mark each title as not published in the filter below. The in-game help screen is the place to see the figure for the exact version you are playing.

The RTP column reads Not published on purpose. We only fill it in when the studio prints the figure on its own game page or official game sheet, and none of the three studios does that for these tables today. If one does, the title moves to the Studio-published band. Until then, open the table, tap the info or help icon, and the rules screen shows the return for that exact version.

One hand of Switch Classic Blackjack, screen by screen

No screenshots here, just the order in which things appear on screen during one round at an RNG table, and what to press at each point.

  1. Pick your chip

The table opens with an empty felt and a row of chips along the bottom. The minimum and maximum bet are shown on the table or in its info panel, so check them before you tap a chip value.

  2. Place the bet

Tap the betting box once for each chip you want on it. On side-bet tables the smaller circles next to the main box take those extra bets; leave them empty to play the main game only.

  3. Press Deal

You get two cards face up and the dealer typically gets one card up and one down, or just one card on European-style tables. Your running total appears next to your hand, so no mental arithmetic is needed.

  4. Answer insurance

If the dealer shows an Ace, many tables first offer insurance. Basic strategy typically says no. With a natural blackjack you are usually paid straight away, unless the dealer could also have one.

  5. Make your decision

The action buttons light up: Hit for another card, Stand to keep your total, Double to double the bet for one more card, and Split when your first two cards match. Only the moves the rules allow are active.

  6. Dealer plays, you get paid

The hole card turns over and the dealer draws to the house rule. Wins drop onto your box, the balance updates, and a rebet button usually starts the next round with the same stake in one tap.

At a live table the same six moments happen, just on a timer. A countdown runs while bets are open, the dealer deals from a physical shoe, and your decision buttons appear with a short clock when it is your turn. In ONE Blackjack everyone shares one hand, so you will see the crowd's choices, but you still make your own call.
